At present I am quite pleased with my 5150 and 5150 II heads. I'm not all about jumping on this one, though I will be curious to try it out and see what the differences/changes are.

I'm betting that Fender builds it, although they may simply release it under the name EVH without "Fender" being anywhere on the amp. But they might have brought in outside help to design it. It happens all the time. Mike Soldano used to design amps for Yamaha and, recently, Bruce Egnater (yes, the Bruce Egnater of Egnater Amp fame) designed the RM100 for Randall.
