Ok I figured I'd post this here, as I've gotten some e-mails regarding quality of the products on the new stores and how the logo looks. Rather that individually reply to everyone, I thought it might be easier to just post this here.

I've actually seen a lot of these items first hand now (not all of them though), and I was indeed worried about quality of the products, but I have been VERY PLEASANTLY suprised. So of the items I have seen, here are my comments.

The Logo Stein - The Stein is very nice, extremely high quality ceramic. The logo looked VERY GOOD on it, I have only see the VHForums.com one, but I am sure VHLinks is just as good. The workmanship is top notch, the colors are great, and frankly, I though the striped headstock (which I was really worried about) looks about as good as it ever will on a printed mug, and I was very pleased, the detail on it was FAR better than our original t-shirts. Definitely recommend this one, but they will be gone January 1st.

I am sure the mug is of the same graphic quality as the Stein and is available after Jan. 1 of course, the Stein must be a Christmas special item.

The Floppy Hat - Because of the size of the logo, it really fits on here perfect. The colors are again great and the hat quality was surprising good. The logo is VERY clear and sharp, very sharp! Again i recommend this if you need a goofy hat.

VHL/VHF Mousepad - Again I was worried about the quality of the logo and the mousepad, and was pleasantly surprised. The mousepad is good quality, very thick, with a large black rubber base. If you have a mousepad from the Van Halen Store, it's of the same quality, very good. The logo looks EXCELLENT, very sharp and BIG. The only problem with the FIRST run of these was that the logo was so big it got pushed too far left and isn't centered as well. BUT, that has been fixed now, so if you order one, it will be centered just fine on ALL NEW ORDERS, I had to shrink the image just a bit to make it fit better. Again, I was pleasantly surprised, and recommend this for sure.

Rounded Christmas Ornament - Well this wasn't the nicest ornament, but cool enough. It's just a flat-round plastic circle with the VHL and VHF logos in it. Problem is the logo is so big that if you shrink it to fit perfectly, you can't read some of the smaller writing. So I had to find a happy medium, and a tiny part of the Forums headstock is cut off, but doesn't look bad. In fact, the logo is very high gloss and VERY clear. Again, it looks way better than I thought it would, and if it wasn't cut off a tiny bit, would have been perfect. This is only available until Jan. 1 anyway.

And that's all I've seen, I haven't seen any shirts yet, but I know some people have ordered them and I will await to hear what they have to say about them. I interested to see if the quality is better than the ones we produced last April, because a lot of work was done to make those so good.

Anyways, just my quick review on some of the items, thought it might be helpful to some who wanted to know how the items look and how good the quality of the products is. All in all, I was extremely satisified with the way stuff turned out, and if it was crap, I DEFINITELY wouldn't be selling it on here because I wouldn't waste my own money on junk. CafePress prints top-notch items, they really do provide a great service and VERY fast delivery. I had stuff like 3 days later!

Sounds good to me, Brett!

One question I was wondering though. Do the new t-shirts, etc. have the: "The internet has been given Fair Warning ..." on the back like the originals did? Or does it have something else? Nothing at all? Just curious ...
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"There is no heir to the throne of Eddie Van Halen. Nobody sits on that throne. Nobody takes that throne. Here's why it's different with Eddie: when a great guitar player passes, you just move on to another, right? But in this case, Eddie wasn't just a 'guitar player'. We're talking about a guy who changed culture and how we play guitar. He was like an alien coming in and fucking everything up so much that even the legends beforehand are like, 'Okay .. what is happening here? What sorcery is this?'" -Nuno Bettencourt

No they do not Wolfie, I wanted to keep our original ones special. But I may put it on these new shirts at some point down the road.

About the hats - I'm digging the baseball cap, but is that a vynl logo on it, or embroidered?

Damn! I took a look at the page you provided the link for and that stuff is NICE!

I only wished I had taken a look much sooner, because I really like the Stein. With Xmas pretty much here, I'm low on fund$ so I can't afford the Stein.

Good work, Brett!

That's cool. By the way, I've always thought that a VHLinks/VHForums bumper sticker would be cool. Has that ever been considered? I know I'd definitely slap one on my bumper.
