I know people love their Ipods, but I hate that Itunes isn't compatable with any other MP3 players.
I've had a SanDisk for the past year (just 1 Gig with a FM player) and have been very happy. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, just enough for whatever I'm listening to at the time and a podcast or two (which does work, as opposed to the Itune songs, that don't).
I'm planning on getting a Portable XM radio next year (Samsung Helix)Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...

I voted for Ipod, because it's hands down the best mp3 player IMO.
But next up will probably be a SIRIUS Stiletto

I think this is the best one. It is small like the Ipod nano but has a bigger screen, does video, FM tuner with on the fly recording, and comes in models as big as 8GB that is huge for a flash player.
http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Cata...3_Players.aspxHave you bought a box of powdered water lately?

I love and cherish my iPod. I have an 80gig video (graduation present) and probably won't have to change for a LONG time...
Everyone goes for the Nano for style purposes these days. The 80gig is HUGE, but still, I could really use the space. I'm already up to 10 gigs and still need to put my seasons of the Office and so forth on there. In and out. I didn't even make that pun on purpose.

I own a Ipod Mini 4 gig and it is cool, but if I were buying one today I would either get one of the Sansa (sandisk) e2__ whatevers or the Samsung video players. The Samsungs have a really great screen and it is small like the iPods, plus I believe they have the FM tuner like the Sansa's. The zune's are cool if you want a huge player, they have a really great screen and works similar to an ipod, minus the touch wheel.

Ipod
I had a Lyra at first but the sports strap was crap & broke and it became almost useless because I wasn't going to pay $20 for a new strap to use on an MP3 player that I paid $50 for. So, I got the 60 gig Ipod & use it more than I ever imagined that I would. Right now I have over 5,000 mp3s on it and just under 100 videos/tv shows and I still have 17 gigs to go. I strongly recommend getting a player with a video screen because the capabilities are almost endless.
I mean, for instance, trips to the crapper at work could be a lot better when you have all five seasons of the Family Guy to check out while you're in there. I'm just sayin'.

I have the 60 gig, I'm almost done ripping my cd's, at 128kb there's 7714 songs on that thing. And I still have about half capacity left. I'd have to double my entire collection to fill that bitch up.
Ain't gonna happen (especially since there isn't any good NEW music these days LOL)

iPod Nano
I have a green Ipod Nano.
What I thought was very convenient is the battery charges from my laptop USB port. The battery life is very impressive.
The only thing I absolutely don't like about it is the iPod doesn't necessarily "carry" the data, but rather copies whatever you have on your iTunes. You don't import music onto the iPod, the iPod updates whatever you have on your iTunes when you plug it into the USB port of your computer. So generally, I have to keep all of my music on my computer as long as I want to listen to music on my iPod. For some people it wouldn't be much of a problem, but it's mostly an issue of taking up computer space.
There are tons of options, one of which is equalizer. I thought that was cool to have on an MP3 player. I just wish I could create my own settings for the equalizer.
I love the game "Brick."
Overall, a very impressive little gadget that is produced at a cost of 90 dollars and sold for 200 dollars.
If you buy an iPod, I would recommend buying a little case for it to prevent scratches or worse.Respects.
