Default Ed's hush hush cure for cancer makes sense in article found

After hearing Ed talk on Stern about how he wasn't supposed to talk about his "cure for cancer" I just remembered something I had seen several years ago about this guy who was helping many people with a cure (yes, cure) for cancer, who was thrown in Jail because it wasn't FDA approved. Don't take my word for it, read for yourself: (be sure to tab down to the Stanislaw Burzynski section)

Very disturbing indeed. In China, not only are they doing stem cell research, they are using stem cells in medical treatments, like surgery for paraplegics, and they are having success. People once restricted to wheel chairs are regaining the use of their limbs. In North America, stem cells are prohibited. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the doctors at Eddie's private clinic used some sort of stem cell treatment to cure his cancer, and I'm not surprised Eddie doesn't want to talk about it.

Billions of dollars each year go to cancer research and cancer drugs. A lot of people get rich from cancer. A cure for cancer effectively puts an end to this cash flow. Right now, there is no "legal" cure for cancer. Coincidence?

Same with the oil industry. I have a hard time believing that with all our technology, we have no other alternative to the gasoline engine. Sunlight is free, so is wind, but billions of dollars go to the oil industry. Would I be allowed to invent and mass produce a vehicle that runs on solar power? Not bloody likely.

Bottom line, all the world's problems...aids, disease, energy, pollution, poverty...all these things can be solved, but that would mean that all those who get rich from these things lose out...so nothing gets solved and we leave for our children a very frightening legacy.

Back to Eddie...a lot of people slam him on this board for all kinds of stuff. Eddie isn't half as crazy as people think he is. He got cancer, went for the traditional treatments, realized he would probably die if he continued down this path, and used his money to save his own life by opening his own research centre and developing an alternative treatment, one that he could possibly go to jail for. That Stern interview was rather interesting...he said he refused to drink the draino that his doctors wanted him to (chemo)...also said that his clinic used a healthy part of his tongue to cure his cancer...then didn't want to go further than that because his cure was "illegal". Not a stupid man at all if you ask me.

Yes, people jump pretty quickly on slamming othe people. No doubt society is driven by money hungry bastards who actually don't give a rat's ass on whether their neigbour lives or dies as long as they can make money off of them. Pretty sad!

Man, thats about as right on as it gets. Interesting stuff. The irony of life pisses me off daily. The world is big business for sure. If it wasnt for basic law & order, we would be cutting each other throats over a hot biscut and disagreements about which mythical God created this sphere. Thats the damn truth.

It's more lucrative for the medical industry to not have a cure for cancer. Once a cure is found, then there's no need for hospice care, radiation or chemo, hospital stays, or research into that particular ailment. Drug companies give us just enough of a carrot dangled in front of us to keep our hopes up that a cure will be found to extend our lives.

Stem cells are not prohibited in North America, only embronic stem cells (which have been proven to be less effective than adult stem cells- usually from umbilical cords). Private research (not funded by the govt) has had free reign to do as much stem cell work as they desire.

OK, you have NO idea what you are talking about. China is NOT having any success with EMBRYONIC stem cells, as no one is. Maybe adult or umbilical, so I challenge you to back this up with any credible evidence.

And apparently, you also have no idea about "North America's" laws. Stem cells are not prohibited in any way, shape, or form. Only FEDERAL funding is LIMITED, not even prohibited. And, many states are funding them right now.

So please, when posting, try to have some sort of factual basis.

so that makes it ok??? We should be exploring Stem cell research to better mankind, not fatten the wallets of big business and the pharmacutical companies by turning the other cheek to it! that is the problem with this country, Big business has bought the us goverment and is and always will run our country untill we wake up!

I think Eddie did what was right for him, he went and found the cure for his cancer, he had the means to do it, its too bad big business has bush in his pocket, he could have allowed stem cell research and Eddie wouldn't have to sneak around to find his cure!

Back to reality. My grandfather went through Dr. Burzynski's treament in the 80's after being diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. This is the same grandfather I wrote about for D-Day. I have known for years what has been hidden about this genius.

My grandfather was cured of his cancer through the treatment, but when he moved back to Buffalo (from the clinic in Texas), laws prevented him from having his medication shipped across state borders. He died a few years later after it relapsed. Fortunately today, the medication can be shipped.

For the record, I did not read the article. I am sure everything it says is true.

-Dr. Burzynski has cured many cancers with antineoplastins (sp), which were originally derived form human urine if I am correct. Now they are synthetic.
-Lawmakers have hindered his success for years, and can be held responsible for my grandfather's death for all I care.
-I believe he can now transport medication across lines, but the only way to get treament in the first place is to be part of his "trials." In other words, it is still not considered legitimate.
-You can ONLY qualify for the trials if you have been diagnosed as terminally ill. So, if you have a slight case of cancer, sorry Charlie.

If you or anyone you love has been diagnosed, definitely use this option if you can.

Wow! That is unbelieveable. My mother went thru agonizing years and waves of "modern medicine" ie. chemo and all kinds of barbaric methods which ultimately destroyed her system and she fought until it was too much for her. She, and both of my Aunts died this way. It's time for our country to do what's right, and not just "what's right for my bottom line financially". If I had the means, I would take this on personlly to make sure that this was all brought to light and implemented for all.

uhh okay. Perhaps everyone should stick to posting on Van Halen and not attempt to validate pseudoscience. I have some snake oil in a circus wagon for all of you try later. Jeez. Wake up. Ed's cancer was 'cured' (not really but a discussion for another day) by surgery, chemo, and xrt. Period. Great evidence as to why the US is falling behind in science and engineering with some of your brilliant paranoid blatherings.
