    Breedlove Accoustics

I was at the local Guitar Center playing guitars and messing around. In the accoustic center, I decided to find and play the most expensive guitar and I came across a Breedlove guitar. It was pretty much over 3 grand, and quite honestly it sure as hell looked like it. THE most beautiful accoustic guitar I've ever seen. Once I started playing it...fuck the looks, it was the most beautiful sounding guitar I've ever played. Maybe one day when I'm older and have more money in my account than hair on my head, I will buy one.

    Anyone own a Breedlove?
    Respects.

yupp, I actually own one that was in the seven hundred dollar range. I used to own a Taylor 414CE and sold it to a buddy and then bought the breedlove, I dont play a lot of acoustic, but the BL neck suites me great, the sound is great nice full and round, and the action right out of the box was intense, seriously a great buy, I rank it right up there with buying my splawn quickrod as gear that not everyone has but everyone is missing out on.

    i'll try this out.

i'm really stuck on l'arrive guitars right now but anything new is cool.

i HATE acoustics with a ton of bass like taylors and martins ... i don't know whats wrong with the luthiers. an acoustic guitar is not supposed to be a bass guitar ... but what the hell do i know.

I attended a demo couple of years ago by an Irish guitarist called Darren Moan. I think he was endorsing them. I played a few and, yes, they were top notch. Very expensive, but justifiably so.

I own the AD20/SR Plus. Bought it here in town at Elderly Instruments on sale for $600! (regular $800). I actually A-B'd two of the same model and bought the best one; has bear claw in the top. It's a full body (don't ever buy a cutaway guys....), solid spruce top and solid rosewood back. Beautiful. Here's why Breedlove's sound the way they do: The JLD Bridge Doctor/System.

    http://www.jldguitar.net/

Look inside the soundhole towards the back of the guitar (where the back/end of a guitar jack would be). It's a wood brace/rod system that takes the pull off the top from underneath the bridge and the strings resonate louder and fuller. Breedlove puts them in all their guitars. I liked it so much I retro-installed one in a cheap Fender acoustic that I take camping in the summer. Cost about $25 from Stewart-MacDonald.

Another beautiful and loud guitar is the Larrivee D03R. About $900. Check it out if you can. You may never buy a Martin.

I played one in Portland, OR, at Apple Music about 13 or 14 years ago and I have to say it was the most impressive sounding and comfortable playing acoustic ever!!!

I don't own an acoustic, but if I ever bought one, it would definitely be a Breedlove!
