Default The first father & son team in a rock band?

Help me out here. Now that Ed and Wolfie are playing together in this band, is this the first father and son team in a rock band? I can not think of one other instance of this. Aside from the usual VH dramas over the years, do you think this father/son combo makes any difference to the general public (non VH fanatics), or does it just come down to the end product?

I think it's about quality of end product. I doubt anyone will be interested in the music STRICTLY for the fact that Ed and his kid are in the same band. That being said, Ed could still make history being the first one to have a father/son (and brother) in a band. Leave it to Ed to be the first at this, too...

The only thing I can think of remotely close is McKenzie Phillips playing with her Dad in a later incarnation of the Mammas and the Pappas.

Al Jardeen (formerly of the Beach Boys) has a son that plays in his touring band.

i know of a local band that once had father and son. the father was Wally Bryson of the Raspberries, and his son Jesse also plays guitar and sings.

No. The Sir Douglas Quintet had some hits in the 60's ("She's About A Mover"). The band's leader was Doug Sahm, who later had his son in the band on lead guitar.

Billy Joe Shaver (country) hooked up with his son's metal band in the late eighties, for a wierd "hybrid" release.

Killer record...and I even got to be Eddy Shaver's guitar tech for an evening in Houston around that time...God rest his soul...

Billy Joe...good, salt-of-the-earth guy...not to mention a LEGEND around these parts...

There's George Harrison and his son Dhani who produced an album just prior to his death. John and Julian Lennon...

In the blues genre there's James "Pops" Peterson and his son Lucky.

Wyman's son (from a previous marriage) was dating the mother of Wyman's wife. So technically, Bill Wyman would be the father in law to his own mother in law.

Quincy Jones, produce and sang on a few songs, for his son's album. Don't know what songs, name of the album, and don't give to shits, but I know he did do that for him. So.......there ya have it!

No. Dickie Betts and his son Duane Betts have played on and off in Dickie's band "Great Southern" for sometime now. Duane (named after Duane Allman), like his old man, is a pretty fine guitar player.

Yeah I don't know why her and her father Wynonna don't try to make a comback.
