I just got through watching "The Van Halen Story: The Early Years" for the billionth time. And what if Quincy Jones used Eddies other solo on "Beat It" would it of be the hit it was? It probaly been a hit anyway being the biggest sick freak in the universe.

I'd sure love to hear the other solo.

Yeah, that's pretty much the case. That song--that album--was going to be the biggest of the big hits one way or the other. Eddie's solo maybe sold a few copies to VH or rock fans, but it was mostly a special feature or novelty that he was on it.

thats why i bought it,and for my mom last x-mas,and i pointed it out to her,and she loves it,she says that knocking sound is him that u hear,lol
