If Mikey is really out of VH and Sammy can't let go of the Wabo's and Mona then MA should put out one kick ass solo CD. I am sure that with all of the good will Mikey has built over the years he could pull in many top notch players/composers. Any thoughts on who would line up for a Mikey solo?

I doubt a solo Mike project at this stage in his career is going to be all that interesting.

Still, it would be a trip if it kicked ass. Pretty unlikely though, IMO.

I think a Michael Anthony solo record could work with some instrumentals derived from his solo bass spot (for example the one from LWAN). A cover of SGAD with him on lead vocals. A guest spot on vocals by Sammy.
A few EVH-style guitar players like Stevie Salas, Paul Gilbert and Richie Kotzen dropping by.

I think if done right it could capture the VH spirit better than the other guys ever could at this point. It's all a question of Mike wanting to do it, though. Right now might be the time, though, coz he does have something to prove. I think leaving messages on his blog supporting a Mikey record might encourage him. Creating an internet "buzz" is the first step nowadays.

So many reasons for this to never happen. Do we even know if Mike can write at all? He's never sang lead on a studio record before. His name isn't very well know either, if you didn't introduce him as former Van Halen bass player Mike Anthony, most wouldn't know who you were talking about.

on top of that Dave and Sammy solo records can't sell to any more than friends and family, you think Mike's will do any better? I wouldn't think so.

I wouldn't mind seeing it - might be kind of cool - but i wouldn't hold my breath. Can't see a label paying for it, and Mike seems to be known as the one who's good with money so this cash-burning idea ain't likely at the top of list things to do in the future.
