Ex-VAN HALEN Bassist To Take Part In Glendora's VILLAGE ART WALK - Dec. 5, 2006

Former VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony's web site has been updated with the following message:

"The city of Glendora is holdilng their annual Village Art Walk to promote an interest in and appreciation of the arts. Michael is taking part in the festivities and will have a collection of his basses on display at The Village Goldsmith this Friday, December 8, including the Jack Daniel's bass! Mad Anthony's sauces will also be available for purchase. The event is free and the public is invited to stroll Glendora Ave and take in the many sights, sounds and tastes the Art Walk has to offer."

As previously reported, Eddie Van Halen has brought his 15-year-old son, Wolfgang, into VAN HALEN as the veteran rock band's new bass player.

Father and son, along with Eddie's drummer brother Alex, have been rehearsing for a 2007 tour, but it is unknown who will serve as the band's vocalist, according to Billboard.com.

Rumors continue to swirl that original singer David Lee Roth, who was replaced by Sammy Hagar in the mid-1980s, will return to the fold, despite years of enmity. Roth, who has recently worked as a radio DJ and a paramedic, told Billboard.com in May that he saw it "absolutely as an inevitability."

No details have been provided about the departure of Anthony, a fan favorite who generally kept out of the internecine warfare in the band.

As for the musical acumen of Wolfgang, Eddie Van Halen enthused to Howard Stern in September, "If I excel at the speed of sound, he excels at the speed of light. This kid is just a natural."

You know seriuosly, if Wolfe is as good as Edward claims he is than let him stand on his own. You don't see Gene Simons bringing his kid into KISS. Yeah he sometimes embarasses his kid by promoting his band so much and pulls strings to get his band into clubs that they wouldn't normally play in if it weren't for Gene. I think that the diehard VH fans who are no doubt going to pay through the nose to get up close to the stage will be relentless in letting Wolfe know he is NOT part of Van Halen. I don't care for it and I think it sucks. But what do I know I'm just a fan, a fan who has collected their memorabilia shit since I was 8 years old. Bought every album, every poster, every shirt at the shows (including bootlegs) and every other worthless piece of shit they put their name on. Ah FUCK. Sorry just a little venting.
