This is pretty interesting.

I am one of the many people who have watched loose change and tended to side with the makers, at least to the extent that all is not what it seems. .However, I have always had a lot of reservations about this film with both it's style and some of it's content.

The problem with a lot of these kinds of things (loose change) is that they will take one quote or one source and use it as absolute fact. Such jounalism always makes one suspicious.

One thing that always troubled me about a lot of the 9/11 conspiracies was the constant use of that PNAC quote about some catalysing event, like Pearl harbour as though this was proof of a plan. Even someone with the most basic grasp of the English language can tell that comment is a comparison, not a plan. This from someone who was horrified at what he read in that document.

There are many other such things that have been used as "proof".

However, there ARE also many inconsistencies about the official story of this event. There is also no doubt that in the past our governments have done things to us that are almost incomprehensible.

I will be reading this in chunks and whilst what I have read so far is not compelling, it does use the same kind of one source, open ended questioning style of writing that the makers of loose change use and, as such, is no more or less believable than the film it criticises.

What is not in doubt are two things:

1. Western governments have used 9/11 and the fear it generated for their own gain.

2. 3,000 innocent people died on that day.

I wish I could punch anyone that believes 9/11 was a conspiracy. And by "punch" I mean pumell their face until death.

Aircraft quit looking like aircraft once they have impacted the ground (or a building). We lost two birds while I was part of VMA-214, one that happened not even 300 yards from our hanger on one of the hover pads. The Harrier was in a hover when it lost power, all it did was crash into the ground from about 50 feet (at zero forward airspeed). Afterwards that thing looked like anything other then an aircraft. There wasn't one piece that was bigger then a car door.

Now imagine a passenger airliner crashing into a huge building at over 500 kts. You absolutely will not be able to recognize it after impact.

Hmmm... Similar to Pearl Harbor... Understandibly so... Of course a government is gonna use a sudden, tragic, event like this to their use and/or advantage... I remember how damn near everyone wanted us to blow up someone or something in the first weeks after... They were just doin' what we wanted... Well, maybe not...

I also know before it's all said and done, we'll have some brainwashed something (I won't call them democrats, because democrats would be embarassed to have people like this in their organization) in this thread blaming 9/11 on "Chimpy" and his family who have been conspiring for decades to blah blah blah....

Conspiracy or not, the Bush family has ties to the Suadi Royal family, that is a fact.

Look, during the 1930's, somebody burned down the Capitol Building during the Weimar Republic. As a result, Adolf Hitler's powers as German Chancellor were greatly expanded, aiding and leading to his historic rise to power.

Quite frankly, I highly doubt that political operatives in Washington these days are that cunning, let alone astute or simply bright enough to stage that type of political undertaking. Politicians are basically too stupid to even keep their sex lives out of newsprint, forget committing a conspiracy of this size and keeping their mouths shut about it.

I've gotten to the point where I'm inspecting the pictures of members of the cabinet to see if they wear shoes that lace. If they do then I wonder who ties them?

Several years ago a small single engine craft crashed into the lake where I live. I watched the crane pull it from the water. Not one piece recognizable as aircraft. No fire, no explosion, just impact w/ water & complete destruction was the result.

Isn't the fact that the "Loose Change" kid is alive, the proof that this isn't what happened? If you can take out 3000 Americans while the country watches on The Today Show, you can take out somebody running a website.

I watched the Loose Change video - I was really irritated that in a 2nd edition they said a B-52 hit the ESB, it was a B-25. This is a pretty big difference, and somebody should have fixed it before a second edition.

I'm a pretty open minded guy - but this has been done to death and I still just see that there are a fair number of people in the world that hate this country, and one really shitty Tuesday morning, they got us.
