Where oh where has "The Inside" gone?

Have they folded up and left town or what? what happened to the latest issue featuring the 1979 world tour. Since they went "unofficial" again, I thought that we would start getting issues more often. Anybody hear anything?

Shit, there's nothing new to print about Van Halen so; why should they waste their time, money, ink, and press time? Just to rehash some old articles on past tours? No thanks. To me that would be a waste of cash. Wait until we get some real news from camp VH then the Inside will be worth buying. Until then I've had my fill of old photos and articles. Give me something new!!

What I dont understand about the INSIDE is that they are the Official VH merchandise shop, but not the Official magazine anymore ?

I guess I am curious to their relationship with the band VH (whoever that is these days). I also thought we would see more magazines from them after they announced that they were no longer the OFFICIAL mag for the band. Has anyone tried contacting them recently about their next issue ? I cancelled my subscription when Cherone joined the band.

It's called "commitment". They sell the magazine and advertise the magazine as being a quarterly publication. So while they are looking up the word "commitment", perhaps they should keep the dictionary open and look up "quarterly".

And while I see Van Gully's point about new articles, I don't think that's too valid. It's not like new articles on the VH situation as it regards Sammy, Gary, and Dave and the last 2 years are going to be anything but rhetoric from the band. I don't expect any meaty articles on what REALLY happened, so to me, the magazine should continue (or restart

) mining the amazing history of this band to fulfill their commitment (there's that word again) to their readers.

Some of their readers (myself included) have put money in their pockets under an agreement that they haven't honored.

I remember in a Mailbag Letter someone said "Best fu^^in' $19.95 I spend ever year!" Too bad he couldn't see the future. That's about $5 an issue(which is outrageous) and we still don't have the latest issue.

You know , if they aren't going to print anything ... fine . Give me a refund . I paid $ 19.95 for one issue this past year . They must be taking lessons from VH's new management team . They learned one thing , that " NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS . "

Yeah, after VH fired Ray Danniels he went onto becoming the editor for The Inside. That's why we don't have it yet.

Maybe this is like the INSIDE magazine's version of a life insurance policy. When I die, my wife will get a rebate check from the INSIDE from the money I've given them that they haven't used up sending out magazine's. Shit, I'll be six feet under and my wife will be on easy street.

Is that April of this year ??? I know what the problem is . We shouldn't be so tuff on them there boys at the Inside . They haven't switched over to the Gregorian calendar yet

I re-subscribed for 3 more years at $19.95 per year about 2 years ago. So I guess I haven't gotten a very good return on my investment being that I have only seen 3 more issues.

I wonder how times they have had an issue ready for printing only to find out they couldn't print it because of what has been happening the last 5 years in Van Halen.
