Lets all give Van Halen support

I have been very critical of this whole situation as late and been angry about it.

Now after hearing that Dave and Van Halen are still not talking, I say that the TRUE Van Halen fans unite and offer our support to them.

Eddie said in the golf magazine that Dave knows where he lives.

Dave is working on his dvd with Lars "I'll sue you" Ulrich, Kirk "I'll do what Lars tell me to" Hammett, Joe "I'm older than dirt" Cocker, and Niles "disco fever" Rogers.

Most of us have been blaming EVH and not DLR for the holdup of the reunion.

I say FUCK the reunion EDDIE, go get yourself a singer that wants to be a part of the Van Halen musical machine.
To be in a band of Van Halen's stature is an honor and should be treated as such.

Let the reunoin take place at the Hall of Fame like most bands do, and then continue to make music with someone that actually wants to make music and not be in it for self promotion.

I'll throw my hat into the ring for singer, I can't sing, but I would sure give it a try and cherish every moment of it.

No offense, but didn't they try this back in 98 and it bombed? I personally liked the album and was glad van Halen was doing just that, but the masses thought differently. They want Roth.

one minute your meeting deep throat(the informant not the actress ) in parking garages getting the florida crop report(see Eddie Murphey) and the next minute your on top of the tower on some college campus in Texas!

I think Dave wants in Van Halen but it's Eddie who is putting the kibosh on it. my reasoning is that Dave's lawyers appear to be trying to get Dave "all the way in the band" while Ed's camps are wanting to keep him an employee(see Ace and Peter's deal during the KISS reunion)--my faith in this comes from the fact that Eddie himself confirmed the "coming together" to write the 'hands fell off the clock' music---both camps have said that the session went great--then it appears Dave went and put the lawyers into motion to seal the deal.

so we take the complicated task of working out the contratcs and other money arrangements that give more people that deserve it a slice of the reunion pie and add Ed's cancer problems then remember Dave's "while our clothes are still in fashion" comments and there's a good chance that things are still moving ahead

I still think the whole "Metallica thing" is blown out of proportion(a buddy of mine was working on something in a studio one time and ran into Garth Brooks there but that doesn't mean he was working with Garth Brooks) and was just a chance meeting one day.

but it's money in the bank that Roth will be back in the VH fold providing Eddie is healthy! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

No but he did find out that Garth was doing that Chris Gaines thing about a year before everyone else did!-Garth came into the room where my buddy's band was working on their CD and he showed them some pictures and told them about the concept!

You flip flop worse than a stack of flap jacks at the local IHOP.
One bandwagon one week the other the next. Show some solid proof with either side being the holdup......and I'm not talking from that "inside" connection either.
Truth is no one knows the truth except those directly involved.
