Milwaukee 1980 - FLAC?
I converted his show from cassette to digital last night because I can find it anywhere so I thought I would share it. I'll post it as an mp3 over at guitars101, but thought I would also try it at jamtothis and diamonddave.com...Can anyone tell me where I can get free software that would allow me to save it as an FLAC file? Is this more condensed than WAV?

What GEN is your cassette????
A 2nd gen with a tape warble already circulates. Is yours better?
You need to talk to 2foolsaminute or LOU over at jamtothis.com. They will set you up with whatever .flac info you need. They can also torrent it or transfer it for you.
Here is what is circulating:
Van Halen
Milwaukee Arena
Milwaukee, WI
April 14, 1980
Lineage: AUD>2nd gen cass>CDR
Quality: B (due to warble)
Total Time: 77:01
1. Radio Promo / Romeo Delight 3:50
2. Bottoms Up! 5:10
3. Runnin' With The Devil 3:25
4. Loss Of Control 4:25
5. Take Your Whiskey Home 4:35
6. Dance The Night Away 3:11
7. Women In Love... 3:20
8. Jamie's Cryin' 3:55
9. Feel Your Love Tonight 5:10
10. Bright Lights, Big City (cut) 7:45
11. Atomic Punk (cuts in) 1:40
12. And The Cradle Will Rock... 4:46
13. Light Up The Sky 4:45
14. Guitar Solo 6:50
15. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love 4:42
16. Ice Cream Man 3:40
17. You Really Got Me 5:45
Notes:
Would be a B+/A- without the warble. It's a shame because it's a great
show with a great setlist, and the recording has a rich, warm quality
to it.

I'm not for sure what you mean by "warble". My tape plays pretty cleanly, keeps tempo, doesn't fade in and out, etc. There is some hiss, but I can take alot of it out.

They were great with Rabin but I prefer the Trevor Horn era over it. https://youtu.be/vzxZzIiO84Y?si=IXO5v330aLwUWUly https://youtu.be/DKYqvLF4tx8?si=EOHG7vRhHU_bUTbK
