Damn, that reminds me. I've got to secure my bookcase in my room to the wall in case of an earthquake. Otherwise I'll have to go out through the window if the gas main ruptures and there's a fire, because it will fall against my bedroom door and trap me inside.

In 1989, had I been asleep in my bed I would have had two broken legs because of where the case was opposite my bed that day.

This is a wierd story but I almost had the same thing happen to me while setting up my DVD player. My family has this ridiculous entertainment center that's just huge and I almost slipped and I would have been wedged back there. With my damaged back, I would have been there until someone came home.

11 days? 11 days she's dead and her mother, who lives in the same house, doesn't notice? I went in someone's house where there was a dead dog before, only dead a few hours and the smell was horrendous - can't imagine a human, especially one that's been dead for 11 days - smells any better...
