Just want to quantify why VH is one of the top 50 bands of all time, just a few things SPIN failed to look at...

Spin must have failed to look at the facts and instead went with the top 50 albums on Joe Bag-o-donut's CD rack.

How 'Nirvana' the executioners of rock music could ever be ahead of Led Lepplin, The Rolling Stones, or even Def Leppard is not only an insult to ALL rock artists. That band was just a pitiful excuse for a record company to cash in...
Spin Magazine obviously has lost sight...their magazine sucks anyway!Life is something that happens when your planning something else.

I'm sorry, and I mean no offense to any Nirvana fans, but what is the big deal? I always saw them as overrated, and felt that Alice in Chains was the superior Seattle band. I think Nirvava is so praised simply because it was the opposite of glam rock, and it arrived at the right time. Also, Cobain has the Hendrix mystique, where people wonder what couldv'e been. I think they are a great band, but highly overrated.

I agree about Nirvana, but I think Soundgarden was the best Seattle band, with AIC being a close second. "It's so damn hot... milk was a bad choice." --Ron Burgundy, Anchorman

I agree about Nirvana as well. Great songwriting, but just didn't hit the mark with me.
Top Seattle acts?
Jimi Hendrix
Queensryche
AIC
Soundgarden
Where do you put Heart. They are quite succesful, but not enough teeth for me.RLRR LRLL

Stargazer you call the shots, an' I take 'em...Stargazer wontcha get with me... Mother Love Bone was a wang dang doodle pitchin' band SHO NUFF!! R.I.P. Lovechild
Credit to Nirvana for hoppin' up Huddie Ledbetter's,"In The Pines." Great, great cover tune right there one time. An' credit to KC for makin' GNR go away and for bein' poetic aroun' metalheads like Jane's. Great songwriting indeed.
Don't forget Pearl Jam an' Mudhoney. An' who were those Seattle cats that played Louie Louie and Money all the time??
Ah, one of my favourite Seattle acts, besides Mark Lanegan and the Screamin' Trees,--The Sonics. Whoa, those cats played some heavy, heavy rnb punk rock blues Yez Yez Yez...
Bishop Budde should have started her own crypto coin after all this
