LOL, yeah dodge, I almost started this thread the other day after Kansas and Duke had already lost. So I guess it's fitting for my 'Heels to drop one as well.

Roy Williams hasn't been too kind to these guys so far, they've been giving up the points and letting the hype dictate the pace. Hopefully this team won't suffer from having too much talent.

I wonder who will be this year's George Mason?

Can Florida be stopped?

I too was wondering when this thread was going to get started. LSU is coming back mostly loaded. We still have Davis, but Thomas is gone. Our schedule is a killer this year-UConn, Florida, Kenfucky, Bama (twice), Texas, A&M, and someone in the Pac10 (OSU, OU, WSU, I can't recall). It ultimately comes down to our guard play and I don't see much there. We have Minor coming back, but that's about it. There's Vgood, who should be called Vsucks instead, and that's about it. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't see us repeating what we did last year.

Sweet! I've kind of adopted Gonzaga as my team, since my Dad lives 2 hours north of Spokane and watches them all of the time when their on.

How many people here really knew who Gonzaga was until a couple of years ago? How many people here know how to properly pronounce 'Gonzaga'?

There's a lot of names here in the PNW that most "outsiders" can't pronounce like Puyallup and Yakima... I know who they are because I'm from this area and a guy in my neighborhood went to play basketball there (before they were a top team)... I hate the University of Washington (more their football program than basketball) so they are the closest local team to root for...

this is the first year where it is real wide open...the two best teams on paper (UNC, Florida) have a big history of choking when it counts. Who else cant wait for the inevitable Roy Williams cry? That was the best part of my 'Cuse winning it all...seeing Roy all in tears

Hey, Voogd (VOOG) is from this county. LSU just played at OSU two weeks ago.

Oregon Ducks are the highest ranked team from the Pacific Northwest right now! Ducks host USC Thursday and #1 UCLA on Saturday. Right now Ducks are unbeaten and off to best start in 69 years or something.

Regarding Gonzaga, it's ZAGGA, not ZOGGA. Head coach Mark Few was an assistant at my HS years ago. I saw Gonzaga play two games in the 2004 NCAA's in Seattle, where they got upset in the second round by Nevada.

Oregon showed they are a fraud last night in losing at home to unranked USC. Ducks were without last season's leading scorer Malik Hairston, but still...you just can't lose at home like that. I've been reserving judgment on this team despite the great non-conference start. Same thing that's happened many times in the past - build up this great record and then hit Pac-10 play and the losses start.

Ducks will lose to UCLA on Saturday, and at Arizona next week. So they will quickly fall out of the national rankings, never to return again.

Woo-hoo! Can't wait to get my NIT tickets.

'cuse played well last night against pitt considering they really only have 1 good player right now...should make the tourney still though as a lower seed
