Fast Food Nation
Is a great film. I love how it goes not only into the public health dangers of fast food and the meat industry (common fecal contamination of meat, turdburgers yum), but the strain it places on workers, especially Mexican immigrants. It is an aspect that is often overlooked--not only what our diets do to the animals we kill, but the workers that have to do the killing and often get badly injured themselves in the process.
See it"Suck a fat one, faggot."

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

It's a movie about corporations doing corpority stuff and corporatons are bad because they're corporate.
Let me save you some money, the movie, based on the book by the same name, tells the story of McDonalds and Carl's Jr. See, they started as small roadside diners but evovled and in 50 years became so successful that they became easily recognized brand names.
This is bad.
Also, and this will come as a shock, fast-food places pay minimum wage with no benifits. The book complained that there was little chance for advancement in these places, failing to understand that 99% of people who work at a burger joint aren't there to make it a career and that if you last six months at one you're a legend. The book also implies that McDonalds undermined mom and pop eateries, which isn't true because Micky D's doesn't open up in towns under a certain population. In fact, businesses usually spring up AFTER a McDonalds opens up.
Anyway, see it....on DVD."Nothing is ever what it seems but everything is exactly what it is." - B. Banzai

Good luck to the Thunder. They better be ready. The Nuggets have won a championship and are battle tested in these kind of games vs Thunder inexperienced.
