Anyone here have any sort of personal connection with Van Halen of any kind???

The reason I ask such a question and obviously if anyone does have a friend of a friend of a friend who knows anyone in the music industry or Van Halen in general, we would certainly have answers and not speculation all the time! And I don't mean just Brad, someone who actually has a REAl connection or has met someone who knows anyone in the band or in relation too! But there have been some members on here that we believe in and trust with news reports from time to time...
Here is my connection:
During the 1984 tour and I believe previous tours, my mom's friend who has a daughter living in California, was once the hairdresser for the band and I am hoping that since the original band is getting back together, she may once again for old times sake reunite as their personal hairdresser again...doubt it, but we'll see....Now if I could only get some information from my mom's friend, we'll all know the actual progress of the band, but this person is so difficult to get in touch with! Although, during the 3 tour and meet and greet with the band in Toronto, I did mention this person to Eddie and he acutally remembered her! so we'll see....And please don't flame me for this, I am just passing on some info in relation to the subject I started simply to find out if anyone actually has a connection to Van Halen and not rumour and speculation and make-believe information...
Hope this all makes sense...

Im sure there is a linker or two who know someone that knows someone in the VH camp, or even the band.

I know Gregg Emerson's sister-in-law and talk to her every couple of weeks.

Gregg Emerson is the former drum roadie for Alex Van Halen going back to the backyard party days.

She said that the DLR and the boys had made a go of it, but things hadn't worked out due to Dave's ego and that nothing was going on in the Van Halen camp.

This is about a month ago that she passed this info to me, before the NAMM show.

This is about the same time that I posted that I had a hot tip about a Van Halen member and I pretty much got flamed for it and I decided the hell with it, I wasn't going to post on here anymore. My hot tip was that Michael Anthony was going to be at Peppers in Arcadia, and yes he was there, as I had been informed, but he was out in the patio area of the restaurant and I did not get to talk to him that night.

I don't know that the information I received from the sister-in-law is the final word on a possible reunion with DLR, but think about it, if things were happening, why would they want to keep it such a big secret??? Better to spread the word that Dave was back in circulation and get everyone excited and primed for the reunion of the decade.

This is about as solid a tip as we can receive, and there is no reason not to believe my source on this one.

I will continue to lurk here periodically, but will only post if I hear something substantial.

Living in Arcadia and hanging out at Peppers I get to meet a lot of people that remember Van Halen from the backyard party days and they have a lot of good stories to tell. I never knew this, but supposedly Alex used to do some lead singing before DLR joined up with them.

Anyways, that is what I know.

A person i work with partied with them on the night that they trashed the Sheraton Hotel in Madison,WI.She showed me pics of them and her and everything.She spent the night with a guard on the next floor down.She's hardcore,you name it,she has it.
Not much of a connection,but it was cool.

(Still pisses me off,they can't come to Madison ever again.)
