I thought I'd start a topic worth talking about since posting lately is few and far between in here. After reading a few of the interviews with Eddie and Dave that you guys and Brett have so graciously put up here, and listening to "Everybody Wants Some" and "Dirty Movies" in the background, I have finally come to the conclusion that I DON'T want to hear a VH album anytime within the next few months. Why? Because it is obvious how much better the entire band sound was with Dave. Even if you take Dave's vocals out, the guitar sounds as edgy and sharp as a razor. It kicks more ass than Mike Tyson at a wife-beating convention. However, getting this sound back isn't as simple as plugging up and jamming. Ed's got a lot of work to do. Thats why I feel anything put out within the next few months (which ain't happening anyway) would be sub-par. Aside from mending their relationship, they have to work hard to regain the original sound. Dave's talk about the best albums being thrown together quickly will not work this time. They have to take it on the chin and beat this one out slowly. I don't want to hear below par music from VH, they are better than that. I want hardcore, kickass, hard riffs and Dave talking about guns and fast women and cars and kicking somebody's ass. Thats what everybody wants. And dammit, we are gonna get it, but not anytime soon. Why buy the Nissan when you can save up your money and buy the Lincoln Town Car? I've got all the patience in the world. I'll be here and ready when it happens. And so will all you bastards too! Until then, put in a little Unchained, grab a beer, and get ready.

Well, I understand where Nature Boy is coming from but I've never thought that ANYTHING Van Halen has released is sub-par music. Yes, 3 was different but I never had the feeling that the band half-assed their efforts in the studio. Every album is a genuine heart felt to my ears. I just don't see them EVER putting an album out that they aren't 200% happy with.

I agree with Top Timmy that everything that VH did was great!
I think that they were at their best with Sammy!
I'm moving this topic to VH Opinions.

Didn't realize last night was the series finale. Can't believe that lasted 7 seasons. I would watch the Conners every now and then. Always hoping it would be better than it was. I'll catch the finale...
