VH Storytellers
It would be nice to see VH do a storytellers.
I am thinking about this regretting saying this because I can see Roth up on Stage rambling for hours like an idiot but I would love to hear how they came up with some of their songs.
If not a book about this would be cool.
It would be nice to hear the story behind Unchained and the cradle will rock, how they came up to the words for Everybody wants some.

The way Dave can run at the mouth, they'd be lucky to get one or two songs in.

We'd be lucky to hear these stories told by the only person who can tell them first hand. And Dave is far more intelligent and eloquent than most performers in R&R, including any other member of Van Halen past or present. There is a reason why he was always the spokesman in the band.
FYI....he tells a great story about Dance the Night Away during his show and he doesn't ramble at all. The crowd listens intently on what he is saying and enjoys hearing it. Even the critics give him props for doing that."The spirit can not be contempt. The spirit can not be sour and angry" - DLR on The NEW Van Halen
"Shutthefuckupity" - DIF on John Cusack.
"Baby, where'd you sleep last night?
Your hair is all tangled
and you ain't walking right." - Robert Johnson

I saw Dave live for the 1st time a few months ago, and he stopped everything for 5 minutes or so and explained how he/they came up with the name and lyrics to "Dance the Night Away". Apparently he did/does this at a lot of shows. I thought it was great and entertaining, coming from him. He's a great story teller.
Wolfie is not Mike, but he's more than ok.
Mike is gone, but not forgotten. They played some amazing shows from 2007-2015; some people are in denial about it.

It would be cool to hear the orgins of some of his VH songs... Dave can tell a good story (listen to bootlegs of "In For The Kill", "Eyes Of The Night" and "Fools") . I think he would do a great job of setting up the story about each tune, and painting the past in an intellectual way... without resorting to his Dave-schtick.

Dave is a GREAT storyteller and he has some awesome stories.
He always said that after he retires from music he'd like to be a story teller.

DLR was pretty damn cool from 1978-1984.
When was your first Van Halen...
