The version of "no more tears" that Zakk Wylde did was horseshit

Type o Negative had a steaming pile of pony loaf with Neil Young's "cinnamon girl"

Limp Bizkit made me shove a spoon in my ass with "behind blue eyes"

    Now the good -
Johnny Cash doing "Rusty Cage" might be the best cover EVER
Eddie Vedder did a version of "I won't back down" that brings tears to my eyes
Social Distortion has a kinda secret version of "under my Thumb" which is BAD ASS and of course ' RIng of Fire" is awesome too.
and of Course VH - "you Really Got me"
now more than ever, the world needs Eddie Van Halen

    Hendrix.
    "All along the watchtower"
    Led Zeppelin.
    "Whole lotta love" (technically speaking)
    Japan
    "I second that emotion"
    The Waterboys.
    "Sweet thing"

IMHO all improved beyond belief on the original.
A man could lose himself in a country like this.

Eddie Vedder did "Hide your love away" for the I am Sam movie and it's very, very good.

Pretty much everything VH has covered has been incredible-listen to the original Apolitcal Blues and then the VH version to really apprecitat the VH version...

Quite Riot covered "the mighty Quinn" with Randy Rhoads and it's great but really hard to find

the worst one I've ever, ever heard was done by Billy Sheehans old band Talas..they covered Stop in the name of love on thier first CD..

White Lion "Radar Love" way better than the original.

    Anything Anthrax covers is great!

Same with Megadeth too..."No More Mr. Nice Guy" is better than Coop's. Same with "Anarchy in the UK."

Anything Dream Theater covers is perfect!

    SRV-Little Wing
Eric Johnson-My Back Pages and Paperback Writer are both solid covers...
Run DMC doing Walk This Way is one of the best ever, IMO...

I don't know if it qualifies or not, but I saw Tim McGraw perform Tiny Dancer at some awards show several years ago with Elton John playing piano and it was FUCKING BEYOND HORRIFIC.
I have no idea if he ever recorded the song, but it was WAY out of his range and I believe cutting his balls off would be acceptable punishment for unleashing that on the general population.
    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls

"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red

VH's cover of WildThing is one of the best ever from the LWAN recordings, too bad they didn't put that on the DVD, Sam Kinneson did an awsome cover of WildThing back in 88 or 89.

one of the worst has to be Wingers cover of Purple Haze...it's just so dated and cheesey today...

Someone said White lions Radar love is one of the best, yeah, I'll second that..I listen to that all the time. Most "hair Bands" could do decent covers when they put thier minds to it.

W.A.S.P. did some pretty bad ass covers back in the day. They totally took "The Real Me" by The Who to the next level. Worst cover ever........would definitely be Metallica's cover of Tuesdays Gone off the Garage Inc. Album
