Default Bands that never recovered from a member's departure/death

I figured this would be interesting. Please don't include bands where the band was still really successful, I don't want this to be Sam vs. Dave.

    Here's mine.

Def Leppard; Steve Clark: This guy was the soul of this band, his stage presence and drive to deliver made him irreplacable. I like Vivian Campbell, but we'll never hear another High 'N' Dry or Pyromania from these guys.

Skid Row; Sebastian Bach: I didn't mind Thickskin with Johnny Soligner, but after buying Revolutions Per Minute I admit this band has lost direction. They sound like a new age punk band with a really akward country twang. Soligner is a great singer, but the stuff they did with Bach is light years ahead.

Dokken; George Lynch: Except for 1999's Erase the Slate, this band has declined steadily since Lynch left both in 1989 and 1998. He's just too good to be replaced, and the band got even worse when Jeff Pilson left. His background vocals are sorely missed, and the band sounds quite simply boring now.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers haven't been the same since Stan Lynch left - technically the downhill slope started with Into The Great Wide Open, but it really plummetted after...

Pink Floyd still put out impressive music but they lost some of their edge without Waters.

Guns 'n F'n Roses without Izzy, and subsequently Slash & Duff & maybe even Matt...

...and yes, KISS without Peter and especially Ace.

and then there's the bands that pretty much disappeared:

    J. Geils Band without Peter Wolf
    The Clash without Mick Jones
    Led Zeppelin without John Bonham
    Talking Heads without David Byrne
    Jefferson Starship without Paul Kantner

KISS with Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent, or Bruce Kulick, is way more musically superior than Ace and Peter. The later lineups could play circles around them.

Heck, on the KISS Farewell Tour they played more songs written by Vincent than by Ace and Peter combined!
