97.7 Hitz FM -St Catharines Ontario Canada-WHAT?!?!!!!!!

This has to be the worst station on the Planet!
Especially at 6:00pm est, when this station hosts a show called " Music Notes " and try to talk about music news in general.

The Hosts tonight were Paul Morris and " The Gas Man" ( the most annoying dj known to mankind!)

Why do I listen to them then if the station and Music Notes SUCK, well maybe, just maybe they'll mention something about Van Halen and some positive news we'd all like to hear!

Van Halen, actually Dave, and the latest problem Dave has with being sued! It just isn't this news on Dave, everytime there is Van Halen news on this station, they NEVER have anything nice to say!

As a matter of fact tonight, Paul " Dickhead " Morris, said "Dave isn't paying his bills because he found out Van Halen won't be getting back together with him"
That is exactly what this asshole said tonight!

This is a station that will have nothing good to say about Van Halen but praises and markets bands like blink182, Creed, The Tragically Hip, Moist,
etc...all the shit bands out there!

We should all send this Paul Morris character an email telling this loser to shut the fuck up already, if he doesn't have any relevant news on Van Halen...

WOOAH - easy about what you say about some Canadian bands there big fella...Sure the Hip isn't Van Halen caliber - however, they do not fall into the shit category.

Next thing ya know - you'll be bashing up and coming bands like Big Wreck, Big Sugar and those folks that try to do an honest to goodness, no attitude - good old fashioned rock and roll gig.

But I agree that 97.7 has not been kind to Van Halen recently - BUT one begs the question of maybe - just maybe - Van Halen deserves a bit of bashing.

I don't listen to the radio often anymore though, so I wouldn't know what they are like now.

First of all, that was NOT the gasman, it was Kerry gray. He is subbing in for the vacationing DD. Second of all, I wouldn't doubt that by now DLR is having finacial problems. He no longer has Diamopnd Dave enterprises, or does he have any major record company backing.
Sure they slagged VH, but at the top of the show they also slagged Metallica about there drunk lead singer, and their lets sue everybody drummer Lars Allrich. Hell, they were even making fun of the 5 year delayed G n R album, but they, like you , are entitled to their opinion.
I listen to 97.7 all the time because they don't sound as old as low IQ107, and they don't play that crap you find on wedgie 102. Get your shit staight.
As for that rumour going that there was a lot of activity at Dave's house, is was probably the sherrifs office seizing all his property, and Mike and Bart just wanted to see if they could save anything valuable that was probably theirs anyway. [img]graemlins/sleep.gif[/img]

Say, interesting how someone from California ends up listening to a Canadian radio station. Maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time finding a live feed for this station Doncha hate how when you search for call numbers they never bring up the radio website? You always end up having to piggy back into it.

No, I am not a friend of the station, its just the only one I can stand to listen to.
And yes, they do play hip, teaparty and OLP, but that is because of the governing body known as the CRTC, and they are rewuired to play 40% canadian content.
