I guess my point is this (and I hope that this post makes sense, as I am half awake):

It looks like Ed hasn't been in the best of health for awhile, so as far as him looking sick "only lately"...

Remember that the man has done, in forty something years, more than what most of us can only hope to achieve in an entire lifetime.

And, although it ain't coming out right, my main wish is that Ed regain his health.

Bottom line is that not one poster hasn't had their own scrapes and bruises while riding this rollercoaster known as life. Give Ed a break. He's given us twenty-five years of great music. That should be enough.

To me, Eddie never looked healthier than what he did during the "Balance" tour. The extra weight, the short hair looked good. He looked sickly during III, and ever since.

He did look healthy and younger on the "Balance" Tour.I just think father time caught up with him and has aged him real fast with all his problems he has had and the hard lifestyle he has lived.I thought he looked healthy in the Adam Sandler Pic.He just looked older.

Ed's not looked his greatest lately, but who does around that age after being in Rock and roll that long? I think the reason he looked sick during Vh3 was we were use to the last few Sammy tours where he had put on weight and suddenly he comes back in 98 and he's lost alot of it. Those giving him a sickly look, then the cancer comes around. If we never get another new Van Halen song, album, tour etc. I'll be happy just as long as Edward doesn't die without showing his true abilities, as a musician, golfer, father and most of all human being.

On a side not why is it that Mickey appears to be the only one who hasn't aged between the '95 pics and they '98 one?

I think Ed looks better thin. I thought he looked good in the Sandler pic; lean, cut, healthy. A
llittle older maybe, but it happens to all of us
sooner or later, kids.
As for NAMM, the man was obviously trashed and
he did look like shit, fashion sense notwithstanding.
But also consider he's been thru a helluva lot.
Just hope the next time we hear new music from him
it's because he's alive and kicking.
