Arrest Warrant Issued For Teacher Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Student

BRIGHTON, CO -- A Larimer County judge signed an arrest warrant Monday for a 29-year-old teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student. The arrest warrant for Carrie McCandless is for charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. She also faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

McCandless, a Social Studies teacher and cheerleading coach, is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.

Carrie McCandless is the latest in the long list of hot teachers who have dropped their panties for one of their students. She is 29 and was getting it on with a 17 year old male student. The alleged contact took place during the last weekend in October during a school camping trip in Larimer County.

It is unclear if McCandless will be able to turn herself in or if she will be arrested.

Her husband is the school principle...

I'm sure the kid didn't rat her out. He probably bragged to his friends, as any 17 year-old in that situation would do, and word got around to the administration. Can you imagine how embarassed her husband, the principal, is???

You know, I typically agree with Bill Maher's notion that there inevitably is, and always will be a double standard, because there are TWO sexes.

But I feel that doesn't apply here, because we are talking about "children" under the age of consent. Now, I put children in quotations, because really, 18 is just an arbitrary number we have come up with as a society to designate adulthood.

As a side note, I think we are starting to disprove this notion that molestation is a male oriented problem, and that just because you molest someone, that you are automatically gay (you know how most people, when you hear that a guy molested a child, we all assume it's a boy. Why don't we automatically assume that when a female does the molesting, it's with a girl?)

Still, it concerns me a little bit that when it's the hot, older female teacher and the underage boy, its funny and sexy, while when it's vice versa, the guy's a molester, and 'sick'. I'm all for cracking jokes that are a bit off color, and I chuckled at a few of them, so this is not directed at the posts above me, but just a comment on this subject in general.

I have lived in California all of my life, where the age of consent is 18. I didn't really realize until after high school that the age of consent is as low as 14 in some states. It's a reality that there are girls who are really young whom if you saw them in a bar, you wouldn't think twice about them being there. And I won't lie, I'm 27, and I have had contact with girls barely under 18 since I left high school, either through my friends, their families and their friends, co-workers, work, whatever. And some of them are mighty attractive, and have regular contact with me. I would never, and have never, done anything, and I highly doubt I would ever once they turned 'of age', just because I knew them when they were younger. And there are times when you can have semi-intelligent conversations with them--but most of the time, you know you are talking to a kid.

But I feel that if a guy did this, his life would be OVER. Or he would be killed by the girls father. And there would be no jokes. It wouldn't be funny. And yet, in these situations, even I am guilty of chuckling, asking 'where were THOSE teachers in school', and the woman's life is not ruined.

So I guess my question is, aside from jokes, what do you guys think, and how SHOULD society handle these increasingly common crimes amongst female teachers?

The reason we find it shocking is because we are a society that is sold on the notion that women are innocent, and only men can be child molesters. While its true that women are less violent when they molest, its no less traumatizing than when an adult male molests a child.

I read all the wise asses here making comments that justify this tramp's behavior as something they wish they would have had when they were children. Listen, the reason its illegal for adults to have sex with children is because it screws them up. Its forbidden for a reason; because its not healthy.

This teacher broke a law that has completely ruined her life, her husband's life, and probably the kid who she molested. We forgive the female for what reason? Because the boy must have had an erection to have completed the act? Does sexual arousal of the victim make it less a crime? What if this whore teacher passed a disease along to the child? It wouldn't be so funny in that case if the kid dies of AIDS before he's 18 because this whore teacher couldn't control her impulses.

I'm sick and tired of this glorification of any person with tits and pussy; excusing them for crimes and laughing at child molestation. Just because she's made up like a tramp, and isn't overweight or disfigured, she can commit a crime? Like that other blonde whore teacher who the judge claimed "was too pretty to be put in prison." Can you imagine this same scenario if it were a man?

Regardless of whether it looks, acts and sounds like a saint - when a whore teacher molests, she's pure evil and should be thrown into a pit of venomous snakes for the rest of eternity.

As long as us males are blinded by our own arousal by fake boobs, fake make up, hair, nails, and narcisistic attitudes, we will continue to allow society to slide into a seductive hell that glorifies everything false, and wonder why we're all getting divorced, our kids are self-medicating, and why nothing seems wholesome anymore.

Yeah, if I was the 17-year old, in that situation, I would have probably done it as well, and the word would have probably gotten out, because that's what most guys do at that time.

But what she did was still wrong, it is a crime, and hopefully she'll have to register as a sex offender, just like any male would have to do in those same circumstances. Not all sex offenders commit forceable rape, some entice and influence their victims/tango partners and pay dearly for it for life.

An exciting orgasm can change your life. Sex is rarely just sex.
