This was the period were we started to lose ol' Eddie. He went from being that loveable, grining guitar hero we all loved - to this grumpy, bitter old, mad at the world, shit slinging, lead singer hating, dictator. And nowdays, nobody knows where his head is. He's become a hermit who doesn't do interviews or communicate with his fans. I think Michael Anthony felt really akward during that period. He didn't know what to say. I mean, didn't that interview seem really uncomfortable?

I’ve always kinda felt for Mike. Regarding the interview, I think the poor guy just wanted to keep a job, and is gonna act in whatever manner that might help him do that.

Job security is important, even when your heretofore brilliant superior turns apeshit. It’s generally best to just placate the insane…along with never making eye contact with them!
