Tenacious D will hit the big screen the day before Thanksgiving in 'Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny.' But fans will get a chance to see the D experience live starting Nov. 17, when Jack Black and Kyle Gass kick off a tour in L.A.
As the D get set to hit the road, Black gave AOL Music a rundown of some of the most memorable concerts he's attended. "I saw Nirvana on the 'Nevermind' tour in San Francisco the night [concert promoter] Bill Graham died, and that was a feverish experience, " he says. "First time I saw AC/DC, Angus Young kind of changed my life. It was kind of late in their run, but it was still a long time ago, either 'Fly on the Wall' or 'Flick of the Switch.'
"And I gotta say Van Halen, '1984,' that was awesome. It was mainly awesome when everybody left except for Eddie [Van Halen], who sat down on the end of the stage and wove a delicious tapestry of guitar liqueur."
We thought 'Eruption' was tricky enough, but weaving a tapestry of liqueur? Now that's talent.

..AND STILL HAVE one extra ticket...hint, hint...
I aw them on the last 'tour' in NYC, at a small theater...was incredible..was just the two of them, no backing band...
wonder what will be in store this time around?
