Sammy Hagar will be on VH-1 "Rockshow" .....

On September 22nd Hagar will be on VH1's Rockshow. Im sure he will be asked about the Dave/VH thing. Just thought i would pass this along.

Okay, I think I've been pretty quiet on this whole Sammy thing.

You see, Sammy WANTS to talk about the whole VH thing with Dave. Heck, he loves to talk about it because that's where he gets his 15 minutes of fame from. Otherwise, do you think the media really cares for a new Sam Hagar album?? Don't think so.

And if UFF or any other Sam supporters out there who wanna flame me for saying this. Go right ahead. This is just my opinion.

Vinnie, I don't see how you can say that the public doesn't care about the new Hagar release. He is obviously still well supported on the road as evidenced by the recent show in St. Louis I saw. Granted, he's particularly big in St. Louis but still, it was a near sell-out. I don't doubt you that he gets mileage talking about the whole Van Halen situation but I think you're short-shrifting him a bit to say that that's the only way he gets any pub. The guy has done a lot more than his former bandmates or Roth since '96.

As usual, everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing Sammy Hagar on the Rockshow.
If he's asked about VH, he may just not comment on it. I think he'd rather talk about his new album.

I don't think Sammy will want to talk about VH either. He's going to be there to promote his new album and tour.

I may be short-shifting Sam a bit. However, it just seems that everytime he's interviewed, the VH-Dave topic comes up and that's when the media is most interested in asking questions. And Sam's always more than willing to talk about it.

Well i was thinking, atleast he can put the Dave being kicked out and having back surgery comment to rest if he is asked. Other than that, since he is no longer a member of the band, what more could he really know?

i'll betcha sammy doesn't even realize how his comments were spliced together.

think about this:
if ANYONE makes a blanket statement about what is going on with VH right now (sammy, wb, any media outlet claiming it as fact and not rumor), VH would HAVE to confirm or deny it. Also, whoever spills the beans as fact in a public forum has to back it up or he/they have NO credibility.

so, if sammy actually said something like "david lee roth has been kicked out of van halen again as of 9/10/00," then he's gonna have to answer to that statement and back it up, just as VH would eventually have to confirm or deny it. i really don't think this would go on for more than a week.

basically, if the Launch thing is factual, sammy would have to answer to it in SOME medium much sooner than the end of the month.

he doesn't want backlash from the VH fanbase, that's for sure!
