Let me clarify a couple of things.

The problem between Ed and Mike goes back a long time. The Other Half thing did not have as much influence on this as many think.
Ed isn't looking to reunite Van Halen for the sake of getting back to the past. It is about moving forward as a band and having some fun again.
The timing is just right right now to make this change.
You can accept it or not, but believe me, its going to be damn good.
Its a whole new chapter of Van Halen, its a glimpse of the past and a look to the future all at the same time. All while spending time with his son doing something they both love together.

Someone posted somewhere that I should post over at that other site fans hang out.
The reason I don't is because of the crap they say and that if you don't agree with the mods one hundred percent they treat you like shit.
Fuck them, I don't need that. I can come here every so often or when something new can be reported without the harrassment. Plus all of you long suffering Dave fans are finally getting what you have wanted for a very long time. Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth together again in 2007, not to mention the likely hall of fame induction.

The only thing I question about this guy is he says some new music with dave? I understand that's not going to happen. Since dave has not even sat down with the VH brothers time is too short. Andrew said just a tour no new music with dave.

probably the same way I knew VH3 was going to stink a year before it came out

what manager/promoter/anything would take a kid whose only live gig in his entire life was probably the 8th grade talent show and throw them into the biggest reunion of any band in a very long time.

There IS some, though, not-so-new music there that we haven't heard.

Completed recordings from 2000 -- to which Mike and Dave have both spoken highly about.

Depending on the number of songs that were done (I heard five), its entirely possible for Dave to pen lyrics and melodies to some more music for a full album (seeing as how a release wouldn't be until the summer of '07).

I'm sure at some point down the road this kid is going to be pretty good musician. I'm glad he discovered his dad was a rocker and stopped going to backstreet boys and nsync concerts

that being said, as good as this kid may be he ain't as good as Mike Anthony and has NO EXPERIENCE--Mike has over 30 YEARS OF PLAYING LIVE--- and like what was stated a few posts ahead of this one, if he sings like his dad....
