Like I have heard that Mike Anthony goes to some Mexican restaraunt once a year to hang out and party and that lots of people go. I dont know the name of the joint but I seen pictures of it.
I heard Eddie does a couple of charity golf tournaments, is this true?
I never hear anything about Big Alex hanging out anywhere!!
Obviously Sammy is in Cabo plenty, where Mikey hangs out with him as well. Dave is always traveling and I know he chills out quite a bit in South Beach, NY or LA...

If EVH does in fact do those charity golf tournaments or any type of celebrity golf tournament, how can I find out? Cuz I feel that would be a great chance to see the dude!!

The name of the place Mike hangs out is Peppers. He usually has his annual party on Cinco de Mayo.

Who the F@#K is Alex Van Halen...?

I remember Ed playing in the Pebble Beach pro-am several years ago. It was nationally televised and I remember my father laughing at his swing.

I don't know if I'm just getting older now, but I remember back in the 80's all the bands were out on the circuit every night it seems.

Eddie did pretty much become a "homebody" after he met Val. He ventured out occasionally.
Dave, Sammy & Mike were probably seen the most out on the town. Alex was probably busy trying to hide bank accounts from ex-wive's lawyers.

It would seem like we only heard about their nights on the town well after the fact. They weren't grabbing headlines with their exploits too much.

It would be nice if they could just make an appearance somewhere. Howard Stern, Bob & Tom, Leno, Letterman, Regis, CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, The Weather Channel, Golf Channel. Thanksgiving Day Parade, Gay Pride Parade, Playgirl, Playboy, Hustler, Spice Channel, Nick at Night.
ANYTHING, Just show up somewhere dammit!

I've been in LA a yr.& 1/2 and have yet to
see the "star" I'd like to meet most.
While I have seen 2 of the Chili Peppers on
2 separate occasions, I figure it's pretty
unlikely I will ever happen to bump into a
hermit like Ed.
Oh, and I passed by Glen Danzig at Amoeba
Music last week. Not quite the same, is it?

I work close to Laurel Canyon & Ventura, which is only a few blocks away from Coldwater, but I've never seen any of them yet.
Keeping an eye open though, just in case (rumour is that Ed buys his cigs at one of the gas stations down there).

Your chance of running into one of the Van Halen bros. is pretty slim. You stand a better chance to run into Roth somewhere, you know he is out and about.

Mike Anthony is probably hanging out with Sammy somewhere.

Go hang out at the Amp Shop on Woodman and Ventura Blvd., Ed has been known to stick his head in there from time to time.

In a city of 11 million people, the odds of seeing Ed is not very high.

I saw Mike at a strings booth at NAMM back in January (not planned)...I suppose he's probably the easiest of the 5 guys to "run into". It was particularly memorable because my drummer and bass player were both instantly starstruck at that moment. We had been "running into" all kinds of great musicians all day (Skunk Baxter, Alan Holdsworth, Anthony Kiedis, Eric Johnson, etc...), but standing 5 feet away from Michael Anthony floored my formidable rhythm section.

Go figure...

The Real Deal
The Real Deal does old VH better than any other band in the SF Bay Area. Hearing is believing...
