Feed from Hall of Fame

Somebody asked if a live feed was doable from the hall... I just happen to know that yes it is...The only kicker is having a circuit to have that feed booked to. I happen to work in this buisness and watch all the clean feeds for sporting events and news channels as they travel across the U.S. In fact I have watched the last 3 HOF inductions commercial free. From the Police to U2. You actually get to see a lot more than what VH1 or MTV networks edits down.... But think about it how do you think the material gets from Clevland to MTV networks (ah). the only thing about getting this on the net for us die hards though is having access to circuit!

The VCR at work will be rolling the day the mighty VH shows up in Cleveland! (even if I half to fight somebody)

Sorry... I forgot the Induction is usually at the Waldof in NY but you know what I mean the HOF is in Cleveland.

I'm sure we could record it on a DVD recorder someway.....but I'm a family man and not about to buy one to use at work for one feed. We have a VCR set up to record on for high profile (Grammy's, NFL, President) events... in case our customers bitch about feed quailty. Of course most of us use it to watch movies on the graveyard shift and record personal crap on. As in this case

according to my co workers the way we have our quailty control set up now would be the same crap quailty you would be trying avoid in the 1st place....They said there would be away to do what your talking about but it involves re-wiring the path into the buliding and I can't get away with that without major repercussions so I guess VHS is goona hafta do for me.

I mean we do only use this source for our own good. were not the paying customers just the carrier for all these networks.

first of all...the induction ceremony is in NYC this year, NOT in Cleveland.

however, the ceremony is shown on closed circuit at the HOF every year. good luck sneaking a cam in there, they are very strict about cams. i've been to a Christmas party at the HOF, and they were checking purses and jackets for cameras. that and there's enough minimum-wage attendants wandering around who bitchslap the cams outta violator's hands.

But think about it how do you think the material gets from Cleveland to MTV networks (ah).

i'm no genius...but i'd say they take the tape out of the camera and carry it over to the MTV studios.

they ain't editing it down live...

I'm still trying to figure out why someone would spend the money to shoot this up to a sat....when nobody is watching it go out live. Satellite time is mega bucks and unless that footage needs to be seen live somewhere else in the US, this makes no sense.

Curious on what bird this is going up on....I might have to do some snooping at work about this.

did i stutter?

they show the induction ceremony at the hall, LIVE as it happens, via closed circuit. costs $10-20 or so to get in, watch the show, and tour the HOF for the whole evening. the VH1 thing is always the weekend after.
