Brand New VH Radio Station

Hey fellow Van Halen fans, I just started up an all Van Halen radio station on the internet this week.

It's streamed through www.pirateradionetwork.com. I've been working in terrestrial radio for about 15 years and have been in classic rock radio for almost 10 as a dj and production guy () so I am putting all my experience into this but leaving out the annoying stuff terrestrial radio has like playing just the popular songs over and over, commercials, etc. I'll probably pop on the air every now and then on the weekend to have some fun with it. I have done my own imaging on this and it's still early so the stuff you hear in between songs will get repetitive but I'm working on making some more to mix things up.

It's a day devoted to Diamond David Lee Roth. Hear all the songs during his Van Halen days and we'll dust off some solo gems too!


WEDNESDAY: Paint It Red

It's a day devoted to The Red Rocker Sammy Hagar. Hear all the songs during his Van Halen days, his Montrose days and a few solo classics both pre and post Van Halen!


THURSDAY: The Other Side

They don't have to be on the radio to be good. It's all B-Sides and rarities all day and night!


FRIDAY: Front Row Friday

Grab your ticket and head straight for the front row to check out live shows from the greatest live band on the planet!


SAT & SUN: Unchained Weekend

Just a bit of Fair Warning, there are no rules when the weekend arrives. We could play anything Van Halen related at any time so, just as it is with our favorite band, ya never what's gonna happen next!

There are some free voicemail and fax services online that deliver your messages to your email or let you download them from the webpage. I know of one at http://www.k7.net/ and there are others out there as well.

If you want to take actual calls, you could build your own little circuit or get a $20 phone recording interface like the kind Radio Shack sells.

Go to Music. Then Rock. Radio 5150 is right there, and rolling!
