For arguments sake here folks. Let's try to keep our emotions intact about Mike not being in Van Halen anymore (supposedly).

I like Billy Sheenan. Not only did Ed consider him to join VH waaaay back in '81 (when Talas opened for them -- this was confirmed by Billy himself. Ed was ready to give the boot to Mike as far back as '81!), and we all know his stellar work with Dave's solo career from 86-88.

Not only would we see the potential of some fercious give-and-take playing between Billy and Ed, Billy is still friends with Dave as well.

So, who would you like to see up there playing bass?

I see this thread diving into a dark place sooner than later, but ......

If the core three aren't involved, along with either Dave or Sam, I'd rather the band hang it up for good at this point. Nothing positive can come from Ed adopting a KISS mentality when it comes to interchanging band members.

I was gonna say absolutely nobody -
