We got a gift card from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. The only way I would tag along with my wife was her dangling the carrot of a heated, padded toilet seat on a stick over me. I carried that sumbich around for a half hour before I discovered dryer balls. I think she was afraid of this scenario with the Seat of Xanadu:



Dryer balls are great. They make flannel shirts, bath towels and sweaters nicer. They make my wife's delicates brand spanking new. This might be the greatest invention since red, long-legged underwear with the escape hatch in the back.

"Dryer Balls" I guess in theory work...

I think the best way to go if you're gonna talk laundry is a front load washer @ 3.7 cu/ft or so and a dryer with a 7.0 cu/ft capacity. They use up to 67% less water, easier on the clothes because there's no agitator, spin out quicker so the drying time is roughly equal to the wash time, and larger capacity so you can wash comforters, large blankets, etc... If a family is doing 8 to 10 loads a week, they will save between $100 and $125 a year in water and energy savings. Also, most areas have Energy Star rebates as well as certain areas that are on sewer have rebates as well... Plus, they are better on the environment!
