"First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Be safe out there.

"A lot has been happening since I last posted.

"First, I'll start with the two shows [with Sammy Hagar] the other week that I missed. Management booked these two shows (Gibson Amphitheatre, Soboba Casino) without my knowledge after the tour, and failed to let me in on it!! I was pretty pissed, as months before I had booked a getaway for that same weekend for my wife's birthday, and I would not have gained any points with her if I was to bail!! (All you married guys out there know what I'm saying.) Anyway, I told Sam's management to keep me in the loop in the future so this doesn't happen again!

"Cabo for Sam's B-Day bash was probably one of the best so far, and I'll post some pics for everyone to check out. I also jammed with my buddies THE ATOMIC PUNKS [VAN HALEN cover band] last week at a corporate party for Yahoo! What a blast!!! I got to play some of the early VH that I haven't played in a loooong time!! 'Hot For Teacher' ROCKED!!!! Thank you Ralph, Joe, Scott, and Lance for inviting me to come out and hang...I think there are some pics of the show out there, but I will also post some up for ya.

"Last but certainly not least, it looks like I'll be trading my snowboard this New Year's for flip flops, as I will be joing Sammy down in Cabo for some sun and jammin' at the Cabo Wabo. I'm usually in the snow for the holidays, so this will be quite a change. We'll be playing on New Year's Eve, and if I recover, a few more times. Check out Sammy's website for the dates."

Doesn't say anything about the possible VH tour. Makes you wonder even more...

Bad trade....snowboarding rules bro...that Cabo thing must be wearin' thin.

MA showing up in Cabo can't be a good sign for the re-union, unless MA is dominating the negotiations or maybe trading his coveted board time for maybe a long hiatus from the Wabo?????????????????????

Y'know, other than the fact Ed & Al seem to have an unrealistic issue with it, I don't see why Mike playing with Sam from time to time should be a problem with him being involved in a CVH reunion.

I'm sure, given the chance, Mike would put Van Halen first everytime.

Ed & Al need to lighten up.

This whole issue about Ed complaining about Mike & Sam performing as The Other Half is just ridiculous. Sure the (Sammy era) VH songs started with Ed, but Mike & Sam were involved too & are justifiably proud of those tracks. They just want to play for the fans, not to spite Ed or Al.

I just hope that after so many disappointing attempts, Van Halen will finally put together the tour we all want.

It's kinda expected for Mike not to comment at this stage and certainly not something worth fretting over. Keep in mind we still haven't had any official word from either Ed, Al, or Dave about a possible reunion. Still early stages at the moment, give it time.

Yeah, Mike is in fact very accessible. But of course there's lots of posts about folks who have run into him over the years.

Mike in Cabo for New Years probably has no bearing on his reunion participation plans/chances...i think Ed even said that he wasnt doing anything until after the first of the year anyway.
