‘Little People, Big World’ Star Injured

The Learning Channel’s Little People, Big World has become an unexpected reality show hit. Following the lives of the Roloff family—with parents and one son who are dwarfs and two children of normal size—people took notice of their story and tuned in to see their challenges.

Jacob Roloff, the youngest member of the family, has been seriously injured in an accident on his family's pumpkin farm. Jacob, who is nine and of average height, was injured when he was hit in the face by a pumpkin catapult. Those who are familiar with the show would remember the catapult from last season, where they used it to draw visitors to the farm.

Their family friend, Mike Detjen, was pinned by the catapult and is also in serious condition. Patriarch Matt Roloff, who is also a little person, posted on the TLC message board that Jacob would need surgery to remove a dime-sized peice of skull that was pushed into his brain, but should make a full recovery.
