I am looking forward to it if it happens, I want Mike there, but I will still go if he isn't and probably have a great time.

Van Halen got stale with Sammy and I wish I could say otherwise because I am a fan of his. Lets hopefully see them just go back to basics with Dave and show the world how it all began once again.

I know Ed said long ago he didn't wanna be a "nostalgia" band, touring without a new album. I think it would be cool if they released a full album or even an EP, but I would be satisfied if they didn't and toured with Ed, Al, Mike, and Dave... I will say, I would be even happier if they did Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff No More live...

Those are 2 songs that have not been audience tested yet live, so atleast something could be fresh.

Eddymon, hopefully you're not hoping for your signature to be the lineup for the '07 tour if does happen... Mike needs to be there... Wolfie needs to form his own band making music to piss off Dad...

    Sure, I'll be there, but...

If this rumored tour happens, I'll certainly go and see it. It could be worth seeing and it could be a disaster. Regardless if it happens or not, it will simply lead to more and more drama...more and more bullshit...more and more who said/did what. It will be fun (for the fans) while it lasts, but it will not extend any farther than that. VH and Roth have prooven time and again that they cannot work together. I'm not sure why people think that this time will be any different. Yeah, Roth is probaby looking to get back into the spotlight after his failed radio show, but how long will it take for him to return to his old self? Hmmmm? You all saw what happened between him and Sammy on their tour a few years back. Do you think Eddie will put up with even a tenth of the behavior that Roth exhibited towards Sammy? Likewise, do you think Roth will tollerate being around Ed and Alex? It's not that I believe that they are all horrible people, it's simply a personality conflict...it has been for years.
This tour, should it happen will definately bring VH back to peoples attention and may even help them with their hall of fame induction, but it also may drive the final nail in the coffin that VH has been building for itself since 96.

If it's done properly with the original 4, it'll be awesome...
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

A tour with Roth has needed to happen since '99. I for one wanted them to keep looking forward and making records and touring with Sammy or whomever, but after the III debacle and overall VH breakdown, they needed to either call it quits or get things moving with Roth. The fans need their closure.

Default No new album just tour - sounds familiar

Just like in 2004 it's journey for money.
When I was at the show in 2004 I felt uncomfortable - I had a feeling that they play just for money, and will not work together. And it turned out like that. Same thing with Roth - I think they would finish the tour ( maybe not - remember 2004 tour was not completely finished - there was tension in the band about few extra dates and they finally didnt play them) and that's all. How big the anger between them must be, they tried two or three times to work together, even once (circa 2000) nearly completed an album, and wasted everything. So they wasted time and ideas - my question who has rights to this demos - Roth or Halens??? Same thing to 99 album with Cherone? If Warner, dont know why they not release it? If Van Halens, i dont wonder why nothing is goin withit. Ed has his own world, and i understand it, he has right to it - without him we won't have any VH album.
So again - this tour doesnt make a sense with no new album. Why play live- just to show young people original line-up? Better buy dvd when they were younger. Just new album would be a reason to hear them live. Hearing Panama one more time is not big enough reason to go there.
    IMO.

"Stupid neighbors called the cops/Now the party's over/Angry housewife wants my name/Tell her it's 'Ben Dover"

Sammy Hagar made Van Halen even better. Deal with it.
