The first I ever heard in full was VHI thanks to my older brother. The first I ever had as a gift for my own was 1984 (6th grade)...the first I ever purchased was 5150 when I was 14.
I can remember singing along to Dance the Night Away back in 1980 when I was a young lad....I had no idea who they were, but I thought it was cool indeed.
Just go for it!
