new cd cover

First off, I am new to the forum I have never posted but I have always enjoyed reading the post of fellow vh comrades. I woke up this morning and had what I think was a good idea of the next cd cover, picture this. About an 18yr old kid leaning up against a brick wall with one leg up on the wall wearing jeans and a T-shirt and smoking a ciggarette with a pack rolled up in his sleeve, and oh yeah the guy is an angel with wings ala 1984 angel album cover and the album is called " STILL SMOKING " just an idea. Cheers and here's to a short wait.

I hate to be the wet blanket, but considering what Eddie has been through with his health, I doubt they'd name an album "Still Smokin', but I love the cover idea!

But I digress. I'm not a big fan of any potential artwork that re-uses the 1984 baby all these years later.

Unless it's one of those collages that has references from all of their work. That would be cool.

How bout this concept....all four guys looking down at the camera, using only dark colors and shadows.(as if u were in a grave looking up at them) You would be able to tell whos who but the images would be very dark (like nighttime). Behind them is the image of a tombstome being split in half by a lightning bolt to reveal a new incarnation of the almighty VH logo. A new 2001 version. You could call it Back from the Grave?
or perhaps just simply - Risen Again

Album art these days lacks appeal. I used to love Priest, Maiden covers and looked forward to their every release. I think all groups should consider bringing back cover art concepts for marketing purposes.
