Oh, man... I bought one of those "play like VH" videos with Curt Mitchell way back when... the guy was such a poser, and the video was made for posers. I'm not usually one for personal insults, but all I could do as I watched was let my jaw hit the floor in complete misbelief of where pop culture has been. It was a lot like watching Heavy Metal Parking Lot.

No, this isn't as play like VH dvd.

    It's a bootleg from 1984 times...

Hey I bought some curt mitchell shit and the guy is good. He rips off Ed`s sound pretty well and gave some new ways to look at things. Bad hair yes even worse grill, I`ll agree but really the can play.

I'd like to get this, anybody have any info? I couldn't find it anywhere, except here http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-49172507-_JM and since I don't speak Portugese or whatever the hell that is, that's not much help.

The Curt Mitchell videos absolutely helped me unlock many of Eddie's tricks. Sometimes tablature can be so confusing, if not flat-out inaccurate (it's basically their interpretation how the artist would play the exact notes), that his video, combined with watching live footage repeatedly, really helped me make sense of Eddie's approach.

It also demonstrated how far I had to go. To this day, I've never, EVER heard anyone come as close as Eddie or Curt while executing the opening cross-picking lick on "I'm The One". Not even some of the fretboard gymnasts on here.

Think twice before you bash Curt. I could give two rips what he looked like back in 1991.

Man... This may have been my most controversial post on here yet, and I've touched on sex in the media and politics!

Unfortunately, even though the dude rips, he is sometimes way off in terms of fretboard position and the requisite technique that was inherent to some of these songs. I wouldn't dream of bashing him, he provides a great service, but providing the incorrect technique and fretboard position is sometimes a product of the bastard that is transcription.

Anybody who trashes Curt Mitchell obviously doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. The guy is a hell of a player and an even nicer guy. Who cares what he looks like? And by the way...Curt Mitchell has been and still is doing his "own thing" in addition to the instructional tapes. Know what you are talking about before you trash a guy. The guy has dedicated his life to the guitar and it shows in his playing. Also, Curt has nothing to do anymore with "Learn To Burn" which was the company that sold and still sells those instructional tapes and videos. They videos are also sold through MVP.

I know Curt and it blew my mind when I read what a couple of dorks and losers posted about him.
