For those that haven't seen it yet for whatever reasons, here's a play-by-play:

It's a nearly 10 minute video featuring Eddie and his fellow sycophants at a press event for the House of Petals gig last week. Among the amusing moments include Eddie getting pissed at one photographer, several photographers repeatedly wondering who these people are that they're shooting to the dismay of their subjects ("Who are you again? *I'm* Joey House!"), one photographer asking if Eddie's shitty ducktape shoes and always having a smoke hanging from his mouth is some sort of shtick (Is she being sarcastic? Or is she truly clueless?), the pre-show tacky strippers and of course, our hero fumbling through some sort of brief solo spot that even *I* could pull off while looking like he's gonna lapse into a coma on his back onstage before launching into some vaguely familiar song. It's getting harder and harder to see the difference between Eddie and Johnny Thunders. Enjoy!

OK, after further viewing I'd have to say that Ed just looks really shy and out of place in the pushy crowd. As for the guitar part, if I was there, I'd just be in awe and eatin' it up. I'm gonna stop being critical of Ed and enjoy the fact he's out and about.

I thought that blues riff was pretty deadly. I love eddie's tone when he plays blues riffs.

Yes, Ed is fine. Dave is a jerk, Sammy's a jerk, Mikey's a jerk and Ed is just fine. Some of you have to take off the rose coloured glasses folks! Just look at him. His clothes, his eyes, his hair....maybe it is a new schtick, but it looks like one fucked up guy to me. If he is doing this for a friend, then take a fucking bath, put on some decent threads and stay sober for at least 10 minutes. And the guitar playing was brutal. If the same level of criticism was levelled at Eddie's performance here that is shot at Dave's vocals or Sammy's clothes/weight etc. it would paint a way more accurate portrait of where the guy's at.

He definately had a little buzz on but didn't seem bad to me. I expected a lot worse. He wasn't going for the crazy solo thing with the guitar. The blues riff was pretty cool. (we only got to see the beginning, I'm sure it got better) Just like his normal solo always starts with 316. I am not an Ed apologist, but this doesn't seem bad at all. Just at a party and screwing around.

He sounded beyond terrible. Take it from someone who's a fan of the bands who play goddamn terrible guitars live. How can people who are into SRV/Vai/Satch say Ed was "okay".. I want your pink colored glasses guys.
