Ed and Al Indonesian?

Is it true that the brothers are actually 1/2 Indonesian?

If you look at Al you can kinda see it.

I always thought Alex resembled an extra from "Hawaii Five-O", one of the anonymous bad guys that always got shot or blown-up everyweek.

Yeah, Alex has the Indonesian facial features and Ed has the Indonesian body size.

I think most of Indonesia had been colonized by the Dutch. This probably isn't that uncommon in Dutch families.

As far as I know, it hasn't been established for a fact if their mom is full-blooded Indonesian or just half.
There's only one interview that I know of out of the hundreds of interviews they've done where Alex mentions the Indonesian thing, in an indirect way.

During the senior year of high school (1982) there was a chick in my art class who constantly talked about Van Halen. She drew a giant size picture of Eddie which to me (not yet knowing who it was) was somebody with asian features. I later saw pictures of them in Circus and Cream magazines and it was always apparent to me that they had some asian in their background. Years' later I happen to come across a few photos of their mom and it was obvious it was she was asian women.

There's a couple of shots in the booklet for Live: Right Here, Right Now. where Ed's asian features are quite clear IMHO.

If Ed and Al are half Indo and the public back in the day always thought Eddie and Valerie could pass as brother and sister, is Valerie half Indo and half Italian?
