Yes, FIVE YEARS AFTER 9/11.

Before 9/11, dumbfuck-peacenick-assholes were questioning the need for NORAD and their cronies in the Klinton Admin had slashed the budget for the ANG so bad that two of the first F-16s that got into the air were armed only with wax-bullets. The Pilots actually discussed the safest way to ram a jetliner in such a way that they could then safely eject.

Anyway, it's a small plane, flown by a NY Yankees pitcher.

I just saw that the plane was registered to Cory Lidle, but didn't hear he was piloting it at the time of the crash.

What the hell is that supposed to mean???

My Dad worked in Zulu during the Cold War era at Bitburg, AFB in Germany.

What Zulu was the F-15's were on alert with live ammunition in case some crazy shit went down. From the time they were notified, they had 10 minutes to be off the ground. This was 1979 so I'm sure the response would be similar today.
