    "Ghost Hunters" on Sci-Fi Channel...

The season premiere of "Ghost Hunters" airs at 9PM(EST) tonight on the Sci-Fi channel, preceded by a marathon of previously aired episodes starting this A.M.

For the uninitiated, the "Ghost Hunters" are a pair of "Roto-Rooter" repair men, who use the tools of the trade to disprove the presence of paranormal activity. The two lead guys (Jason and Grant) are joined by a team of folk who use a cynical approach, more prone to dismissing things than getting overtly exited about nothing.

It's a neat show, and occaisionally induces some hair raising segments. The folk are regular joes, simply trying to make ends meet while persuing their hobby. If one is interested in the paranormal, I'd recommend this show.

My wife and I have been waiting for the season premier all summer. It's great that they try to disprove everything instead of just saying "yeah this place is haunted" like the flakes on most shows of this kind.

Ghost Hunters is the only show of this type that I enjoy. Looking forward to it.

Fell asleep before the new one came on last night. Damn! It's the only show I watch regularly. I bet the Hell Caverens was a good one. Anybody catch it?

The show is first class all the way.

They debunk as many places as they declare haunted. The show has evolved from a standard reality show, with inter-personal politics to a top quality look at how ameture Ghost Hunters get the job done.

I have the first two seasons on DVD. The best episodes have been in Tombstone AZ, and the St Augustine lighthouse in FL.

The best one was where they went into this house where the owner had all kinds of solvents and wood finishing products in front of his basement air intake for the heater/AC, and he was seeing things.

I finally got my wife to watch the St Augustine lighthouse episode when they did that marathon last week (or two weeks ago?). It REALLY creeped her out!

You're right, the lighthouse kicked ass! I'm very skeptical about this stuff, but that lighthouse was spooky. The Stanley Hotel was strange also. The last episode they did on that abandoned house with the trees growing out of it over in Ireland was good too.

Those three little things following the guys through the woods on the infared camera was wild.

    Great show.

Haven't watched this show at all, but based on some replies here, I may have to check it out.

There are some episodes that, quite frankly, are a little dissapointing, but only becasue these guys don't make shit up. So sometimes they go into a place and come out empty handed. You may have to give it a couple episodes, or go back and catch the re-runs of some of the ones mentioned in the thread.

Once they get on a good hunt, you'll be hooked.
