Just my thoughts on this...

I am not on the inside at all and really do not know that much about Bart Walsh, but, Bart made his "name" from the Atomic Punks and Dave brought him on board because he could really play all of Ed's riffs and sound. Dave may have got some flak from being bascially a "VH Tribute" band during the latest "mini tour". Now, if Dave wants to move on and forward, then he has to get a new guitarist.
