Found this on youtube, not very good quality but a good performance nonetheless.

Huh? Dude, it's a signature Sammy tune. I can't even imagine Dave doing it anymore than I can imagine Sammy singing Jamie's Cryin

They opened the show that night. I can't imagine anybody was too thrilled about trying to follow it.
    SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls

"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red

I've always LOVED this performance. I probably watched it hundreds of times on a VHS recording I made of it. It's a great mix. Al's drums sound fookin great, much better than on the record IMO. Plus ED does some rad fills, with an especially mind-boggling one to end his solo.

I don't know, I just liked DLR's stuff with Van Halen better. Never really liked Sammy.

I always associate this with when I saw them four days earlier in Tinley Park, IL on the FUCK tour. They were all sick, Sammy's monitors and mic had problems all night, and, if anyone knows the World Music Theatre, it sucks for sound. All in all it was a pretty BAD show, and I remember leaving somewhat disappointed.

Then, they're on MTV and tore the place up!

Man, I feel old talking about this one. I was in college in VA and had tix to see them in Roanoke later in the tour. I was so psyched when I saw this performance, because I knew the show I was going to kick ass!

But the thing I remember most about this night wasn't VH, but the Poison trainwreck where CC DeVille had a total meltdown on stage and started playing different songs than the rest of the band. We were cracking up, like,"Whoa, this guy is seriously fucked up."

I agree...and they actually opened with "Runaround" off camera! They were their "own opening act", as Sam states in the interview afterwards. I'd be curious if that footage was floating around somewhere to see.
