Anybody doin the Center Ice package this year? I signed up last week. Can't wait to catch the Sens vs Maple Leafs game tonight at 730 EST.

Hey Raoul, I have a question for you. I was at a Rangers-Islanders preseason game last week. I was talking to a buddy of mine who is an off-ice official, and who goes walking by but Kevin Lowe. Since the Oilers don't play the Atlantic Division this year, he had to be there scouting players. Any rumors up there about who Lowe may be targeting from either of those teams? Also, anyone he's rumored to be looking to deal?

Oh, and LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!

I haven't heard any rumors yet, but the biq question mark is on defence, and we've got lots of extra forwards so that's a possibility, but Lowe won't do anything for awile yet.
Also, the Oil don't have a farm team of their own, which means they are assigning players to a variety of AHL and ECHL teams, depending on where guys can fit in.
He may have been out that way talking to coaches and GM's of those teams, then decided to hang out with Slats for a night.
I wouldn't imagine he's taking any advice from the Mad Scientists running the Islanders.

Game FUCKIN On!

Should be 3 good games on tonight. Looking forward to the Sabers/Canes, should be some fast up & back skating all game long.

NorCal hockey starts tommorrow. Fuckin Sharks haven't even named the starting goalie yet?!?!? I think Toskala will get the start. The assistant coach Rob Zettler said on the radio this morning that they will go with whoever is hot, gee thanks for narrowing it down for us, LOL! BTW, Joe Thornton is going to DOMINATE this year. Sharks win the Pacific.

As for the Flyers, looks like Esche will start on Thursday, then Nitty will go on Saturday. That should give Flyer fans a few ulsers....

Some tough line calls for Gallant to make. If it were me, here's how it would break down.......

Back-ups - Balastik,Platt,Shelley,Svitov

Bad news for Brule. After a pretty bad preseason he got dropped to the 4th line.

Rookie Gilbert Brule, expected to center the secone line, has been dropped to the fourth line for Friday’s season opener against the Vancouver Canucks.

Brule, the Jackets’ No. 1 draft pick in 2005, played in five exhibition games, mostly between wingers Fredrik Modin and Anson Carter, but had no goals, no assists, 10 shots on goal and 10 penalty minutes. Taking his place between Modin and Carter is undrafted free agent Geoff Platt, who led the Blue Jackets with four goals, three assists and a plus-5 rating. In terms of Brule, he has shown amazing talent in the past, but his production will certainly take a hit based on the move.

Yeah, I heard something similar on MacCleans radio show today, although Doug said he had a good camp, but Platt was amazing. They will shuffle some lines in the first few weeks until Federov gets back. It also looks like Berard might be out for a while, not sure how long.
