That sounded horrible. They were all over the place and sounded like they had no clue how the song should go.
Just go for it!

Yes it is, and he knows how to play it. He actually looked upset because the guitarists were all over the place with this tune.
Just go for it!

interesting comments, I thought it was a very loose, inspired version myself. To each his own I guess.

I think it's pretty damn good. Cool to hear EVH doing this type of tune.

It sounded great. Eddie stayed out of the way of the vocals and always knew when the turnaround was happening. It was a benefit jam--what was so messy about it?

How old is this?
I've always loved to see Eddie do other music. I've seen a thread on here before about what you would like to see him play. I think it's neat to see. And it's okay. Nothing earth-shattering. Maybe if there were real rehersals for these types of thing (i.e. long-term preparations).
Oh, have to say this (sorry to be a smartass), but I was surprised that Eddie would play any part of a Jimi tune since "all Jimi's stuff was affects" (i.e. see Howard Stern interview). Gimme a break.

there's also this one
hey maybe Billy Sheehan can be the new singer. j/k"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone
"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and I´ve got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth
WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.
