British Police: Wear Nice Panties when You Go Out

Police officers in Suffolk, England, thought the matter of young women drinking as being a very serious one, and came up with a campaign more likely to draw their attention to the risk of binging.

'Safe!', the magazine that was published to warn all women about the shame that one might bring on oneself if not too careful with one-too-many-drinks, launches the message 'If you've got it, don't flaunt it'.

The campaign advised women, and especially younger ones, to always make sure they are wearing nice underwear and getting a wax job before going out for a drink. To support its message, 'Safe!' also included pictures of drunken women collapsed on floors and sidewalks, showing off their most prized (and not too pleasantly looking) asset.

'If you fall over or pass out, remember your skirt or dress might ride up. You could show off more than you intended – for all our sakes, please make sure you're wearing nice pants and that you've recently had a wax'.

Readers are also advised to eat before they leave home, to keep a close tab on the number of drinks, to have a lot of water between beverages, to stick with friends and to always take a cab on the way home.

Women activists are already firing up on what they call 'discrimination' and a scandalous campaign, but spokespersons from the police force defend the action by saying that they felt compelled to resort to such a drastic action to raise their awareness.

'We need to raise their awareness of potential problems. They become more vulnerable under the influence of alcohol'.

On the whole, it's not such a bad idea... So, ladies, next time before going out to party the night away with your girlfriends, spend a little more time choosing what to wear underneath!
