Don't Worry - VH Will Be Back With Sammy or Dave. I Promise.
What Eddie is going through right now is what many artists go through in music - the "I can make it on my own" syndrome. More often than not, these artists fail with that solo album they have been dying to make for decades and return to the band that made them famous in the first place.
Believe me, any Eddie solo album will tank to the point that if he ever wants to release an album again - he will have to call Dave or Sammy.
This is not to say that Eddie isn't a brilliant musician, but I am sorry - an Eddie Van Halen solo album, especially in the state that he is now is not a record label's dream.
So he will release whatever he is doing now and I can honestly tell you that the return of the REAL Van Halen will come. It may take years, but nonetheless.
For you KISS fans - Gene's record tanked and expect the same from Paul. A new KISS record will be on the horizon.

God Himself is betting 3:16 odds at Caesar's sports book room that the next time He sees Van Halen play together, it'll be at one of Hendrix's Elysium barbecues.

Squalen,
Yes I can honestly tell you that, because the past confirms that it WILL happen and it usually does with most bands at some point. These musician types are all about ego. Are you honestly going to tell me that Eddie will release his soon to tank solo album and then say to the world - goodnight forever.
I am not saying it won't take 10 more years to get to that point, but he will get the itch again to perform as Van Halen in either the Dave or Sammy version. Mark my words. Don't blame me though if it's David Coverdale and not David Lee Roth.Last edited by hey man; 09.28.06 at 06:17 PM.
